Welcome to our 52nd season!
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our 51st season so special and successful! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing musicians, Board of Trustees, sponsors, individual patrons, and, of course, our loyal and devoted audience who filled the hall each week and gave us resounding standing ovations. It is a wonderful thing that the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival has become a summer highlight for many residents and visitors in southwestern Maine.
I am delighted to welcome another roster of exceptional performers for this season. Most of our favorite musicians will be returning as well as new, fantastic artists who will join us for the first time. I am thrilled to announce the upcoming season’s programs, which will showcase beloved masterworks by Arensky, Bach, Bartok, Beethoven, Dvorak, Faure, Mozart, Poulenc, Schubert, and Schumann. In addition, we will present lesser known but marvelous works by Devienne, Foss, Ginastera, and Harbison.
This summer we plan to continue with our community outreach programs in more intimate venues in Bridgton, Norway, South Paris, Waterford, Scarborough and Falmouth. Of course, we also look forward to our annual repeat performance on Chebeague Island as well as additional repeat performances in New Hampshire, the Mountain Top Music Center in Conway and Electric Earth Concerts in Jaffrey Center, and in Connecticut at Chestnut Hill Concerts in Old Saybrook.
Not only will we continue to bring world-class concerts to our audience, we are committed to put the vitality of live music and how it contributes to enriching the lives of everyone within our community. For the artists who have performed at the Festival, a crucial part of their experience has always been the chance to share their talent and commitment with our devoted audience and with this wonderful musical community.
We urge you to continue to check our website for more details, such as bios of the artists as well as information on how to donate to the Festival. We invite you to “like” us on Facebook and ask you to spread the word about the Festival to your friends. Please note that by purchasing a season ticket for all five concerts, you will receive many benefits, including a savings on tickets and invitations to post-concert receptions. Don’t forget: all those under 21 are admitted to our concerts free of charge.
